Environment

The fiberglass pole was conceived and perfected as a recyclable support for wired networks, that would not have treatments or components harmful to the ground in which it is implanted, and that would integrate into the surrounding environment, thanks to colors that resembled those of nearby trees or buildings. This is the origin of a commitment to the environment and natural resources that has guided the company’s development over the decades, from commitment to the life cycle of products and raw materials, to the adoption of an Environmental Management System (EMS) certified ISO14001, up to the recent installation of a latest-generation photovoltaic system capable of covering half of the production’s energy needs. 

Respect for the environment is coupled with a commitment to our most important resource: our employees. Following the “Safety First” principle, we guarantee a safe and healthy working environment, supporting the spread of a safety culture. 

Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) and Carbon Footprint Reduction

To ensure the maximum effectiveness of our actions, we have adopted a Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) for all our products. This holistic approach allows us to analyze the environmental impact of a product at every stage, from the selection of raw materials to its disposal. Through this detailed analysis, we are able to identify and implement the best strategies to reduce our carbon footprint. 

Renewable Energy and Emission Accounting

Our transition towards a low-carbon economy is a concrete and measurable process. We have invested significantly in clean energy by installing a 250 kW photovoltaic system on the roofs of our plants. This system allows us to produce a considerable part of our energy needs directly from renewable sources, reducing our dependence on fossil fuels by almost 50%. In parallel, we have implemented a rigorous system for the accounting of greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions, which allows us to precisely monitor our environmental performance and set clear goals for emission reduction. 

Certifications and Partnerships with Suppliers

To validate our commitment, we have adhered to internationally recognized certification systems. Obtaining the ISO 14001 certification and adhering to the EcoVadis evaluation program attest to the solidity of our environmental management systems and the transparency of our actions. Furthermore, we believe that sustainability is a shared responsibility. For this reason, we select our suppliers not only based on quality and cost, but also based on their compliance with environmental regulations, creating a value chain that reflects our own ecological principles. In this way, we extend our environmental commitment beyond the boundaries of our company, promoting sustainable practices throughout our supply chain.
